Cricket lovers to miss Dhoni Dhamaka at Barabati on Monday
With Virender Sehwag set to captain India in two one-day internationals against Sri Lanka after M.S. Dhoni was hit with a two-match ban, the cricket lovers would miss the later at the Barabati stadium here on Monday.
Dhoni did not come to Odisha on Saturday to play the Monday's match as he had been handed down a two match ban as the regular skipper of the Indian team for the team's slow over rate in the second one-dayer against Sri Lanka on Friday.
Both the teams arrived in Bhubaneswar during the day. They will come to Barabati stadium here on Sunday for practice.
The Indian team included Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Dinesh Karthik, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, Sudeep Tyagi, Praveen Kumar, Pragyan Ojha.
Ohja will be a star attraction in the Barabati ODI as he belongs to the state.
Meanwhile, the curator of the Barabati stadium told reporters that they have prepared a batting pitch and it would help the batsmen to score better.
Adequate security arrangements have been made in both Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to make Monday's ODI trouble-free.
