Australian cricket team arrives in Mumbai for 7-match ODI series

The Australian cricket team, led by Ricky Ponting, arrived in Mumbai for a seven match ODI series against MS Dhoni’s men. They were swiftly rushed to their hotel by a large array of security personnel and would address the media later in the day.
The security cover provided to the Australians was top-notch, specially after the terrorist blasts in the neighbouring Pakistan.
Before leaving for India, Ponting had told reporters in the morning that it would be tough to beat the hosts in their own backyard, despite their poor run of form in the recent tournaments, the latest being the Champions Trophy, where they were bundled out in the first stage itself, while Australia went on to win it.
Harbhajan Singh, one of the favourite controversial cricketers for the Australian outfit, had earlier in the day had said that it would be a good contest as Ponting’s brigade would be desperate to win and salvage pride.
