Sri Lanka won the 1st ODI with the help of Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga's massive nine-wicket stand

 

After winning the one and only Twenty20 Match Team Srilanka won the 1st ODI Match. Sri Lankan Bowler Lasith Malinga played well in this match and got his first half Century.

Capitan Kumar Sangakkara scored 49 and Angelo Mathews scored 77(not out), finally Team Sri Lanka reaches the target 239 with 34 balls remainning.

In Australian innings Capitan BJ Haddin scored 49 and MEK Hussey scored 71(not out).

In Srilankan Bowling innings NLTC Perera got five wickets, SL Malinga, KMDN Kulasekaran and S Randive got one wicket each. on the other hand Australian Bowler XJ Doherty got four wickets, MG Johnson and PM Siddle got one wicket each.
