Champions League Twenty 20 2010 - Fixtures, Schedule, Teams and Squard
The second edition of the Champions League T20 will be played in South Africa. The governing council for the tournament has come out with the schedule and the groups for the same. There is also an obvious change in the format given the reduction in teams from 12 that were present in the previous edition to 10 this year.
Last season, there were 12 teams that included two from England, but with the English county season clashing with the tournament dates, they will not be a part of the Champions League. The other teams include three from India, two from South Africa and Australia each, and one from New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
The ten teams have been divided into two groups of five each, and each of the sides will play against each other once in their respective group. After the round-robin, the top two sides from each group will then play in the semi-finals which will be followed by the final.
There will be 23 games in the Champions League this year, much like last season, despite the lesser number of teams. Champions League T20 2010 – Fixtures and Schedule is placed below.
