Champions League Reprimand For Amit Mishra
Delhi Daredevils leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been reprimanded after he pleaded guilty to a Level One Code of Behaviour breach during his side's seven-wicket loss to Victoria in the Airtel Champions League Twenty20.
Mishra was reported after he gestured towards batsman Rob Quiney having dismissed him, falling foul of Level 1.6, which relates to “pointing or gesturing towards the pavilion in an aggressive manner by a bowler or other member of the fielding side upon the dismissal of a batsman”.
Mishra subsequently pleaded guilty to the charge and was given a reprimand by match referee Roshan Mahanama. The maximum penalty for a Level One offence is a fine of $US 2000.
The Daredevils are next in action when they play Wayamba on 11th October, a game they must win to stay in the tournament.
